Is bartolomeo gay

Apparently, a follower of Luffy's by the name of "Bart-something" burned down one of their flags and replaced them with Luffy's. Yamato, despite being assigned female-at-birth, identified as a man. Kiku’s first appearance dates to when an insistent and downright entitled sumo wrestler is trying to court her, as she continues to dismiss his advances.
Many unique individuals have crossed paths with Luffy and his friends, demonstrating that one’s differences should be appreciated, not mocked or condemned. The One Piece fandom has become a place where fans of all identities can be themselves without fear of judgment.
One Piece’s Representation Is Beyond Amazing
The Show Does Not Fear Including Characters From All Identities
As the story of One Piece has progressed, the Straw Hat Pirates have realized that the world they inhabit includes a wide range of people.
While both the manga world and the One Piece universe have plenty to grow when it comes to representation as a whole, Oda has still managed to create some of the most enticing characters in the universe, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. As a result of his desire to become Oden, Yamato proudly proclaimed to be Kaido’s son and to be treated as a man, which everyone has thoroughly respected.
While Ivankov’s gender is disclosed as transcending the boundaries, Bentham’s is much trickier to characterize. Genderqueer and gender non-confirming characters are a popular trope commonly found throughout the world of manga, and One Piece is not an exception. He wishes to pursue the same adventures as Oden, and finally see the world- as opposed to the reality he’s been due to being Kaido’s son.
The barriers are seemingly indestructible, as no attack has been seen being able to penetrate them. Not everyone who travels the seas or calls land their home is the same, and yet they all deserve the same degree of respect and kindness. The treatment received by these warriors was an excellent example of how to properly introduce LGBTQ+ themes into a series.
The Series Representation Is Not Perfect, But It Tries
Even When Characters Become Stereotypes, It Is Rarely Offensive
While One Piece is one of the pioneers of LGBTQ+ representation in anime, it is still not perfect.
From taking part in Marineford to his work in the Revolutionary army, Inazuma is an essential character that resides next to Ivankov in blind loyalty.
Yamato emulates Oden’s gender, with the wish of becoming the former daimyo of Wano. Ivankov is also oftentimes seen in his female body, switching genders any time he pleases.
Izo
As previously mentioned, Izo was Kiku’s older brother and a former commander of the 16th division of the Whitebeard Pirates. Luffy, the protagonist and one of the best characters in the series, has been hinted at as being a part of the asexual community.
Yamato idolizes Kozuki Oden, to the point where he decides to take on his mannerisms, and impersonate him upon getting his hands on Oden’s journal. While he utilized male pronouns, Robin and Crocodile never gave him a partner of the opposite gender, on the basis that he is both a female and a male.

If it's not, then the adaption of Chapter 1054 could be a little confusing for anime-only fans.
There's also no telling how the confrontation between Shanks and Bartolomeo will go down.
