Each of us is a work in progress. For instance, some passages refer to pagan rituals, temple prostitution, or pederasty—not lifelong, mutual same-sex love.

  • Crucially:
Even among Christians who hold a traditional sexual ethic, the overwhelming consensus is that God’s love is not withdrawn from anyone, regardless of orientation.

    LGBTQ+ Christians and Faith

Countless gay Christians testify to experiencing God’s love and presence in powerful ways. The Christian message is always about grace and invitation, not exclusion.

Sex is a gift. The duty and privilege of Christ’s disciples are to offer all who will listen to the message of salvation and the promise of a love greater than anything.

His love and justice go together, but all who call on Christ’s name for salvation are covered by his blood.

    1. “Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother” (Matthew 12:50).

He also promoted mutually uplifting, godly friendship. The love of God is broad, inclusive, and not contingent on human categories.

    • Romans 8:38-39 (NIV):
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

    5. “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). The ultimate lesson is to embody love in every interaction and to accept one another as we are, allowing God’s grace to work in us and through us.

    John 13:34

“A new command I give you: Love one another. The message? As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
