Hôtel Gaythering boasts 23 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, each with its own unique character and charm. The Miami Beach EDITION

For those seeking a more sophisticated yet contemporary experience, The Miami Beach EDITION offers a luxurious retreat that blends style with comfort.

The Delano is famous for its stylish Art Deco design, which blends classic elements with modern touches.

The hotel offers a variety of activities, from relaxing by the pool to enjoying delicious cocktails at the outdoor bar. So many in fact, that I wrote a dedicated blog post listing the top gay hotels in Miami to help you choose for your next trip.

But for the purposes of this post, I wanted to share with you the the gayest hotels in Miami that I stayed at during my most recent visit to Miami.

Hotel Gaythering, South Beach

I have stayed at plenty of gay and gay-friendly hotels over the years, but I have to agree that the Hotel Gaythering in South Beach has to be the gayest hotel I have ever stayed in!

I thought Axel was cheeky with their ‘Please Disturb’ signs, but Hotel Gaythering takes cheeky touches to another level.

I mean, it’s an iconic location within South Beach, and so of course I had to stop by and check it out – and not just for the eye candy.

Muscle Beach is located within Lummus Park, which is itself found between 5th Street and 14th Place and nestled between Ocean Drive and the actual beach. Stay active at the state-of-the-art fitness center, or simply unwind at the full-service spa.

And when you’re ready to explore, you’ll find yourself just steps away from the vibrant energy and excitement of South Beach.

Whilst it’s technically ‘not legal’ to be nude in Florida, Haulover Beach has an officially designated clothing-optional area, the only one in the entire state.

I have written a detailed guide to both of these Miami gay beaches and how to find them, as well as a couple of other beaches you may wish to visit, here.

Gay Saunas in Miami

Despite being such a gay-friendly destination, there are actually not many gay saunas in Miami.

Located right on the beach, guests can enjoy easy access to the sandy shores while taking in the views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Ritz-Carlton offers an array of luxurious amenities, including an outdoor pool, full-service spa, and fine dining options. Many of these hotels go above and beyond with amenities such as LGBTQ+ themed events, welcoming staff, and partnerships with local LGBTQ+ organizations, ensuring that each stay is truly special.

Additionally, Miami Beach gay hotels are situated in prime locations, often near the city’s top attractions like South Beach, Ocean Drive, and the bustling nightlife scene in the heart of the LGBTQ+ district.

It doesn’t seem like bathhouses are quite as popular in the States as they are in Europe. Dance the night away with its prime location in the heart of South Beach.

At Dream South Beach Miami, you’re free to be yourself and celebrate who you are. Known for its tranquil ambiance and excellent service, this property offers a mix of wellness, art, and modern design.

The Standard Spa, Miami Beach

The Standard Spa is a stunning gay-friendly hotel that combines luxury with relaxation. Or sip a signature cocktail at one of the chic bars nearby. I enjoyed it so much that I even went back a second time – I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Palace has been the number 1 drag bar in Miami for over 30 years and I can see why!

They also offer all day dining options.

The food here is so good, it is even on the Michelin Guide, winning the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award, but I also loved the location – within a shopping enclave, in an oak tree sheltered courtyard, it really was a hidden gem.

El Turco serves traditional, authentic Turkish food – I loved everything I ate and will definitely be back.

Palace South Beach

YYou know a place is worth a visit when you include it in your blog post three times!

Whether you are looking to relax on the beach, explore the nightlife, or attend a vibrant LGBTQ+ event, Miami Beach has something for everyone.

The sauna is open daily, but operating hours vary depending on weekday and weekend, as well as entry hours varying depending on if you are a hotel guest or a visit so it’s best to check locally before arrival.

Club Aqua, Coral Gables, Downtown Miami

Club Aqua is the other main sauna in Miami, located downtown, and is actually more of a ‘health-club’ with its wide range of amenities:

  • Fully equipped gym
  • Steam room
  • Dry sauna
  • Outdoor pool
  • Sundeck
  • Video lounge

Despite all the above offerings, Club Aqua is actually very reasonably priced, with a one-off visit costing just $12 on a weekday, and $15 on a weekend, (both plus tax).

This stunning resort offers guests unparalleled oceanfront views, easy access to the city’s top attractions, and a wide range of luxurious amenities. The hotel also features a world-class fitness center, a full-service spa, and several dining options nearby that serve delicious cuisine from around the world.

With its stunning design, exceptional service, and prime location, W Miami is the perfect destination for travelers who want to experience the best that Miami has to offer.
