This gear can form a big part of a pup’s identity, the same way certain characteristics define a dog breed.
Why do people engage in puppy play?
Like most role play, pup play isn’t just about sex – and sometimes it’s not about sex at all.
Just as with any dom/sub play, puppy play offers the freedom of stepping outside your regular identity for a certain amount of time to do things you wouldn’t normally do, without judgement.
And what makes a good pup?
As always, you have questions, and we have answers. Puppy’s have moods and I have a mask to match my moods. i wonder how fond he is of gay people," gaining over 17,000 likes and 2,400 retweets in seven months (shown below).
That day, Twitter user @R451n commented under the post with a new image macro where the dog says it's grown a lot and is now more tolerant, gaining over 1,500 likes in seven months (shown below, left).
Pupp Jaxx reflects:
“Initially, it was a sexual experience; a way to explore my submissive nature while still receiving affection and positive reinforcement. I also have a fellow site on human pup play safety @ The Pup Safe Project
Welcome
Gidday!
The wonderful thing about pup play is that if you ask 10 pups what it looks like for them, you’re going to get 10 different answers!” ~ Pup Jaxx
The gear is the most visible part of the culture. On June 6th, Instagram user nocontextigstories posted a meme using the dog next to an Among Us adult toy, gaining over 1,700 likes in nine months (shown below).
On August 14th, Twitter user@kuroufo posted a blank template of the dog, writing, "what a nice looking dog.
❤️," gaining over 10,000 likes in the same span of time.
The post gained viral spread through reposts across social media. The appeal of the ‘animal’ identity for pups is that it’s primal – it’s all emotion and instinct, without human inhibitions. The alphas look after the other pups and handle the care and organisation of the pack, taking on some of the responsibilities of the handler.
Pups will often choose a dog breed they feel represents them, and they’ll wear a collar with a tag on it as part of their identity.
It’s sure to fill even the greediest pup ass making him howl and growl!
Still training your ass to accept your pup tail? On June 2nd, Justin Whang and Taylor Lorenz posted it to their Instagram pages, gaining over 11,000 likes in a day. Stop by again soon as I’ll be updating with fun new toys.
Newly added!
The image was posted to Instagram in June 2019 and first appeared as a meme on Instagram in March 2021, gaining viral spread over the course of the year and inspiring users to place new quotes over the photo of the dog. Make sure you also discuss how you’re planning to manage other STIs such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.
Who does puppy play?
Anyone can be a pup!
I’m Gpup and I’m a human pup currently living in Melbourne Australia.
I’ve been into pup play for a while with my journey having just started recently . Every pup needs a tail, a collar and a mask. I highly recommend playing with the Pod Butt Plug, heaps of fun and a great stretching tool.
Over time I will be adding some more fun items that I enjoy, like this awesome Puppy Wrist Band.
I’m not much of a ‘mosh’ pup, but I love facilitating that and helping create a space for others to get into headspace and have fun.” ~ Pup Jaxx
Puppy play also emphasises relationships built on trust and loyalty and can sometimes lead to establishing a ‘found family’ in a pack. It’s important to communicate your boundaries to everyone involved and make sure you respect theirs.
To help with physical safety and comfort when on all fours, Pup Jaxx suggests:
“While there’s no gear necessary to participate in pup play, if you are a pup…getting good quality mitts/pads will make sure you’re protecting your joints and preventing cuts and abrasions.”
Safety as a pup also includes taking charge of your sexual health.
On March 23rd, 2021, Instagram user insect.sama posted the image macro, offering the earliest current post of the meme. On August 27th, Twitter user @c4tspl4sh posted a redraw of the image, writing, "what a nice dog.
On March 3rd, Twitter user @ForeverElSanto posted, "who is making these ….😭" with several images of the dog, gaining over 62,000 likes in the same rough span of time. Feeling the rubber slapping against my legs puts in my pup space faster then you can say sit, stay, good dog…
By far the best pup tails are Square Peg Puppy Tails.
