The musician was born in Malawi in 2005, and Madonna later adopted him with her then-husband Guy Ritchie after a humanitarian trip to the African country in 2006.
The adoption was controversial, as the celebrity couple were granted an exemption to get around a requirement that prospective parents live in Malawi for 18 months before adopting a child.
David siblings include Madonna's oldest, her daughter Lourdes, 27, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon.
She and Ritchie share 23-year-old Rocco, and Madonna has also adopted Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11, all of whom came from Malawi as well.

Madonna's 18-year-old son David Banda has revealed that he has moved in with his girlfriend, Maria Atuesta, a 21-year-old model.
The teen shared the news with fans after he recently took part in a Q&A with fans on social media and was asked how he "likes living on his own," to which he replied that he is living with his girlfriend and loves it.
